Special West Coast FOA Meeting
On September 27th in Diamond Bar, FOASC held a special board meeting along with the West Coast FOA and the Joe Saraceno FOA. A total of 38 Board of Directors were in attendance. The goal of the meeting was to discuss the possible merging the three FOAs, or to share a common agenda when dealing directly with 7-Eleven.
We had an excellent and productive afternoon. Everyone is looking forward to working together, all in an effort to fight for the franchisee cause. All FOA directors agree, they want to share a common agenda and topic of discussion. The more franchisees behind a common cause, the better leverage we will have for a solution for SEI. If the three FOAs joined forces and/or brought the same issues to the National Coalition Committees, it could have a greater impact on 7-Eleven.
The National Coalition already has an Agreement Committee set up and working with SEI. FOASC has a member on this committee. Once we merge FOAs, we can share member feedback with them. We believe strength in numbers will help benefit the franchisee community.
The three FOAs will have a combined Holiday Party in December 2016. Details on merging the three FOAs will be discussed at future meetings.
